You can’t do what I do unless you have a sense of humour, well-developed emotional intelligence and a large sprinkle of pragmatism. I’m experienced but not text book. My clients appreciate my honesty and unwavering support on a range of matters that may not come naturally to them. I enjoy helping clients make a difference in their business.

I’m naturally curious with strong commercial instincts with the ability to communicate, influence and coach at all levels. I’m also adaptable so that I can operate in any business environment and work with key stakeholders at all levels.

I started my career office based but I’ve been fortunate enough to work for companies that encourage agile working. This pattern of working afforded me the flexibility to pursue other interests. I’ve worked with businesses that do not have the budget for full-time HR support and they appreciate the elegant solution of remote support which keeps the costs down while still getting the job done. I’m also happy to provide temporary HR support to cover holidays and sickness.

So what makes me qualified, you might ask?

I’m a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and hold a BA in Human Resources Management and Masters in People Management from Middlesex University.

Before starting my own HR consultancy
I’ve spent 6+ years working at a leading Omnicom owned London PR firm at Director level.  Here I established and lead an award winning HR division with a reputation for adding commercial, strategic and operational value to the business with the infrastructure to support 300% headcount growth over 4 years. This included working closely with the board to align the business vision with HR to formulate strategy, building the Employer Brand, implementing HRIS, spearheading talent acquisition campaigns, retaining top talent, introducing engagement targets, designing Companywide training programmes, leadership coaching, introducing a competency framework, expanding business capability, managing budgets and leading organisation development plans while being a trusted partner to the founder and leadership team. Prior to this, I worked at a senior level on a number of HR and change projects for organisations including Westpac banking Corporation, Mercer Consulting, Jewish Care and the Association of British Insurers.

I also enjoy coaching young people in readiness for work to bridge the gap between education and employability. I’ve previously partnered with London schools via the CIPD, the Taylor Bennett Foundation, Institute of Grocery Distribution  (IGD) and Teach First to lead a series of workshops on skills for work. 

Most organisations I’ve supported have been high-performing with equally high expectations on delivery of HR outcomes so I’m ready for the challenges.
